Like an Instagram message in Inbox

Add or remove a heart

1. 1Open Inbox and choose an Instagram conversation.
2. 2Click the heart on a received DM or story reply. On mobile, tap the same heart button. Keyboard users can Tab to Like message and press Enter or Space.
3. 3The button shows a spinner while Instagram processes the request. A filled heart means Instagram accepted it and LinkStack saved it.
4. 4Click the filled heart, labeled Remove heart, to remove your reaction. No Save or Publish step is needed.

When reactions are available

• Use a connected Instagram Business or Creator account with message access.
• LinkStack uses the standard 24-hour window after the contact's last DM interaction for reactions. A new public comment does not reopen that window.
• The heart action is available for received DMs and story replies with an Instagram message ID. Public comments, sent messages, private notes, and test chats do not have it.
• Liking a message does not send a separate reply, pause automations, or change the conversation's unread count.
• The saved heart tracks reactions sent from LinkStack. Reactions added or removed directly in the Instagram app are not synced into this control.

If the heart does not update

Read the error below the message. Reconnect Instagram under Settings → Integrations if the account is disconnected, wait briefly if Instagram limits requests, or wait for a new DM if the window has closed. A failed request keeps the previous heart state. If the error says the reaction reached Instagram but could not be saved, retry the same action to sync it.
