Pending or needs attention

  • Compare the DNS record type, name, and value with the current values shown in LinkStack.
  • Confirm the LinkStack TXT ownership record exists exactly as shown.
  • Remove conflicting A, AAAA, or CNAME records for the same hostname.
  • Wait for DNS propagation, then click Check again.
  • If ownership and routing pass but HTTPS is pending, wait and check again before changing working DNS.

The domain does not show the expected page

  • Confirm the assigned bio page is published.
  • Open the normal linkstack.fyi handle to verify the page itself works.
  • Confirm the domain status is Verified.
  • A custom domain cannot publish a Smart Link or Short Link.
  • If you need a different bio page, remove the current domain mapping and add it to the intended page.

Downgrades and cancellations

When a paid cancellation takes effect or the account otherwise returns to Free, the custom domain stops serving the LinkStack bio page because custom domains require Starter or Growth. The normal linkstack.fyi handle can keep serving the published page. LinkStack keeps the domain record, but check the plan, DNS, and verification again before promoting the custom domain after an upgrade.

Remove the domain

  1. 1Open Settings and choose Domains.
  2. 2Click Remove beside the domain and confirm.
  3. 3Expect visitors to stop seeing the LinkStack bio page at that hostname.
  4. 4Remove or replace the LinkStack DNS records at your domain provider if the hostname will be used elsewhere.
  5. 5Test the hostname after DNS changes finish.
